TPG Post sent millions of families a present
Millions of Dutch families were surprised with a letter by TPG Post.
In the case they didn't know already, the letter involved makes clear that the name 'PTT Post' definitively belongs to history. And to get the Dutch thoroughly familiar with the new name, TPG Post, it was the sender, Harry Koostra, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal TPG Post Inc., who decided to enclose a small present: an "prestamped envelope". If not already for the present, stamp collectors will also be very delighted with the stamp on the package. It is really something special: the first stamp on which the company name, 'TPQ Post' is printed. The used stamp is special too: two concentric circles with the text 'May 2002' in them. Furthermore, there are also envelopes carrying a 'blind' stamp (see down right).
