Acitve group of 'women' collectors
There's no theme for which there are no interested collectors. In Germany, there's a group, Frau und Philatelie, that collects stamps with images of important women.
But that's not enough, the members of the group say: there are stamps to which there's more than just the portray. On its webpage, the group gives an example: on the German stamp which shows a film scene with Kurt Weil and Lotte Leyna (Michel number 2100), there are two legs of a women. One has now found out that those legs belong to the singer Mary Martin (1913-1990) who, in 1943, played the leading part in the musical 'One Touch of Venus' of Kurt Weil. She was also the mother of Larry Hagman, who we still remember as oil tycoon JR in the TV series Dallas. The group summons all its members to collect more such details on women. We're curious!
